​Jeff Kreiter compiles a huge amount of information on group soul records here – and a fair bit of other R&B and soul as well – in a book that runs almost 500 oversized pages, with listings of 7" singles on countless indie labels. 
The book lists 18,000 different 45s – with catalog numbers, artists, label, titles, and year of release – as well as pricing information from the 90s – which is fairly out of date now, but is still kind of nice to see. 
There's also information on different pressings, including possible bootlegs – and we still find it a great resource after all these years. 450 pages, black and white.
